By starting your day with one liter of water you can improve the condition of your scalp in no time. Remember that you can take water from fruits and vegetables as well. Carbonated drinks are not recommended at all though.
Another fast way in which you can fix your extremely dry scalp is by using extra virgin oil. In order to do this you should heat the oil until this becomes warm. Then you should use it as a massage lotion for your scalp and wrap your head in a hot towel afterwards. After at least 30 minutes you can rinse your hair with warm water.
A great home remedy that can get you rid of an extremely dry scalp is based on lemon juice. This can be used as such or mixed with warm water. After washing your hair as you regularly do you can apply the juice on your scalp. By leaving it on for 10 minutes and then rinsing it off you will be able to see its advantages, in the sense that your scalp’s situation will surely start improving. Another remedy that you can prepare at home is made out of one cup of warm water, one part of hydrogen peroxide and one part of vinegar from apple cider. This solution must be left on your scalp for about 5 minutes before being rinsed off.
An extremely dry scalp can also find relief in a shampoo mixed with lavender oil, thiosulphate or tea tree oil. A mixture of aloe vera oil and tea tree oil can also be very helpful. Scalp massages with coconut oil are also known to be highly useful.
One of the least known remedies for dry scalp is the one consisting of yogurt and an egg. If you mix one egg into a yogurt bowl you will obtain a paste which you could then use as a massage lotion. This cannot only be applied on your scalp, but also on your hair. It must be left on for 15 minutes and then thoroughly washed down with warm water. Another less known remedy is the one made of 6 water cups and 12 oatmeal tablespoons. These must be boiled together for about an hour before being used. After they boil, the oatmeal must be strained and the water must be mixed with a little bit of rosemary. The result should be applied on the scalp and then rinsed off with a lot of warm water.
All in all, there are numerous remedies that can be used against an extremely dry scalp. However, these must be used on a regular basis in order for them to work. If you cannot use them at least once a week, you should at least find the time and massage your scalp from time to time, since this also proved to be extremely helpful in such cases.
